Save the Date!

On March 4th 2017, activists, engaged residents and data lovers will gather to find solutions to a local problem.  Training with RapidMiner and Tableau will be provided on site, making it possible for individuals with a wide variety of skill sets and diverse backgrounds to contribute. Everyone is welcomed: from data analysts, intervention specialists, students, or curious citizens!

Have you heard all the fuss over Open Data?

Governments all over the world have been releasing data for their citizens to show greater transparency and foster the trust of its citizens.  Lucky for us, the Niagara Region has been working extremely hard to release this information, and their efforts have not gone unnoticed! With its 221 datasets and an interactive layout, the Niagara Open Data Portal has much to offer.

However, data by itself does not help the community; citizens do.  We need every inquisitive mind we can get to find ways in which we can use this data to benefit our community the most.  The possibilities are endless, and it is our responsibility to allow them to take root and flourish.  Let’s work together for a better Niagara!
